EKS and EC2 cost estimate
A monthly estimate for an EKS control plane and EC2 workers, using published on-demand prices from 12 October 2026. Cape Town is the default. This is not a quote and it is not your bill.
Prices are the AWS public on-demand list published on 12 October 2026. 730 hours is the month used here. Nothing you select is stored.
How to use it
- Choose Cape Town or Virginia, then an instance type from the dated table.
- Set the number of nodes and clusters. Standard support is USD 0.10 per cluster-hour. Extended support is USD 0.60.
- Read the monthly total, then add disks, NAT, load balancers and data transfer yourself. Those are not in this figure.
Questions
- Which prices are these?
- Linux on-demand list prices from the AWS public price list published at 2026-10-12T19:39:25Z. The control-plane rates are the published USD 0.10 and USD 0.60 per cluster-hour.
- Does this include VAT or rand?
- No. The prices are in US dollars, before tax. Your invoice in rand depends on the exchange rate and on AWS taxes.
- Will this match the bill?
- No. NAT gateways, public IPv4 addresses, EBS, load balancers and cross-AZ traffic are often larger than the nodes. The AWS bill checklist names those.
